ThermoBatch-TGA-Analyzer-16 Principle of operation
With the ThermoBatch-TGA-Analyzer-16 moisture or ash multi-sample quick analyzer (patented) samples are analyzed by weight loss.
The furnace is always hot.
Crucibles and samples are first weighed on an external balance and immediately placed in the empty position on the furnace top.
The instrument has an ejector pedestal to raise and lower the crucibles.
When "enter" is pressed on the keyboard, the crucible is lowered to the internal carousel and the cycle for that sample starts.
Samples are weighed constantly in the internal balance located below the furnace.
After obtaining weight stability and results, the crucible is automatically raised for removal the next time the operator weighs a new sample on the external balance.
The extraction of samples does not need operator attention.
The samples are removed by the operator when the operator weighs a new crucible and sample for analysis.
A crucible with results is replaced by the pre weighed crucible already on the external balance.
The internal carousel holds 16 crucibles (Fifteen (15) available for use and one (1) reference crucible to compensate all crucibles for crucible weight variations due to heat).
There are models with different crucible/sample quantities available.
This is not a batch analyzer
Crucibles come in and go out automatically
Samples do not affect each other due to different analysis time
Each sample has its own analysis time according to weight and moisture or ash content
The ones that have been analyzed will be removed automatically when a new crucible with sample is presented for analysis

Moisture in coal
25 - 30 minutes
Ash in coal
25 - 35 minutes
Moisture or ash in cement
20 - 30 minutes
Moisture in flour
30 - 40 minutes
Ash in flour for 2 grams
The operator weighs crucibles
and samples during the analysis time using the same PC that
manages the instrument.
Time is not wasted in getting the initial weights of
crucibles and samples and entering the sample
identification codes because initial weights are not
obtained inside the instrument but on an external balance during

Sample analysis time does not affect other samples.
The first to be analyzed is the first to be removed by the operator when the operator weighs another crucible and sample.
